Progress Update 2026
Today marks another year of Endcast development, and we have some updates to share with you. As some of you may have noticed in our 2024 trailer, the original plan was to launch our first song by the end of 2026. We tried really hard to meet that deadline, but a few things have changed, and we would like to explain why.
Essentially, it comes down to ambition. The original plan was much simpler: produce a song with a homemade video, using mid-level video equipment. But, as always, we want the music, sound, video, story, and everything else to be the best we can make them. This takes time, considering there are only two of us: one focused entirely on the project, and the other balancing it with a full-time job to keep it funded.
This isn't a music video anymore. It has grown into a short film, where the song and the story are closely connected, and where what happens on screen needs just as much thought and work as the music itself. We are pretty much aiming for the picture quality of a professional production, with proper sets, lighting, costumes, cameras, stabilizers, and so on. All of this costs a lot in both money and time. There is a reason for this. This format best supports the story we want to tell, and that story is important to us. We know it's all a bit secretive, but we promise it will be worth it.
Which brings us to the main point. The release will be postponed until the second half of 2027. More details will gradually follow as that time approaches. Keeping our promises matters to us, but quality has always been our highest priority. We would prefer to release something we consider extraordinary rather than rush things and risk it looking more like everything else.
Finally, the picture at the top of this post is a still from the upcoming video, giving you an idea of the atmosphere we are going for. We’ll share more about the story behind it next year.
Thank you to everyone who is excited for what is coming in 2027. We can't wait to show you what we have been working on.
